Northville, MI
Orin Jewelers is celebrating 90 years of serving the fine jewelry needs of the greater Detroit area with special events, a
chance to win a jewelry shopping spree, and a diamond giveaway.
Detroit’s most trusted and respected jeweler plans to kick off celebrations for this
milestone occasion with a VIP soirée on
Thursday, Sept. 28 from 5:00 to 8:00p.m.
at its showroom in downtown Northville. Featured will be red carpet fare,
models clad in the latest diamond jewelry, and exotic cars on display.
To follow, Orin Jewelers is hosting a
90th Anniversary Diamond Spectacular,
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29-30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The jeweler will unveil
to the public its expanded collection of diamond jewelry with special pricing, and
present a chance to win a $20,000 jewelry shopping-spree at Orin Jewelers.
Moreover, Orin Jewelers will open a raffle for a .90-carat diamond, with the
winner to be selected and announced on Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve.
Three Generations Orin Jewelers began 90 years ago when Orin Mazzoni, Sr., a watchmaker by
trade, and his wife Mary opened their first store in 1933 in Weirton, West Virginia.
Twenty years later, the couple moved their family and jewelry business to
Garden City, Michigan, raising their four children in a two-bedroom flat above the
store.
In search of more space to expand services and collections, Orin Jewelers
moved in 1965 to the historic, majestic building on Ford Road that once housed
the National Bank of Detroit and Garden City’s City Hall.
